Libra - money and career
Librans are at their best when they’re working with people. Their social skills are usually excellent, and they know how to cultivate and maintain people’s interest. As a result, Librans can be good at selling things, as well as organising parties and events. Also, this sign understands the importance of image, so Librans can thrive and prosper in the areas of fashion, PR and television. They frequently have a flair for politics - whether it’s at the level of the office or the nation. It’s partly because they know which way the wind’s blowing, which group is in and which group is out. In this light Librans can be very manipulative. They give the impression of being warm and friendly, but all the while they’re plotting the best way of pursuing their agenda - making the right alliances, climbing to the top through a series of amicable meetings - which means that some Librans become successful in spite of having less talent and less knowledge than their competitors.
But weaker Librans have to be careful - in trying to please everyone they could please no-one. The scales that are symbolic of Libra can sometimes be the scales of justice. And it’s not uncommon for Librans to have a strong sense of justice, to be really upset when they see people being treated unfairly. This can be reflected in their careers - being campaigners for human rights, or perhaps being lawyers or judges. So it’s not surprising that Mahatma Gandhi, one of the saints of the Twentieth Century, had Libra as his sign.
As far as money is concerned, Librans have to be strong. There are times when there are many demands on their financial resources, and it can be difficult for them to say no. But if they agree to everything they could become seriously out of pocket. On the other hand Librans can be good at extracting money from people. They know which buttons to press, and when they have to, they’ll blur the truth.
